Subject and methods The Cross-sectional descriptive design was applied using both quantiative and qualitative methods. The stress status was evaluated by using 2 questionnaires . The status of depression was measured by DASS-21. Results Our results showed that the percentage of stressed medical staffs in the hospital was in which the rate of mild stress was moderate stress was severe stress was and the extremely stress was . Healthcare workers who have to take care of elderly and disable people were more likely to be stressed than others. In Imaging Diagnostic Department the stress rate was highest 75 and the stress rate in Pediatrics Internal Departments and Surgery accounted for and respectively. Conclusions Stress is prevalent among staffs working in Son Tay General Hospital the stress rate accounted for . Medical staffs being taking care of elderly and disable people were more likely to be stressed than others This study may serve as a preference for future monitoring of workload in order to reduce stress for medical staffs.
