Therefore the study of disease patterns helps the health sector focus on investing in common diseases and diseases with high mortality rates helping the health sector to use resources effectively. Objective To describe disease patterns of inpatients at Ba Vi district general hospital Hanoi in the period 2017- 2021 and the results of medical examination and treatment activities at the above location in the period 2017-2021. Methods A cross-sectional descriptive study using retrospective data. Result In the period of 2017-2021 the 5 most common disease chapters at Ba Vi district general hospital include The respiratory chapter pregnancy chapter childbirth and postpartum chapter digestive chapter accident-injury- infection chapter. toxicity and clinical and laboratory symptoms not elsewhere classified. Infectious diseases tend to decrease non-communicable diseases and accidents-injury-poisoning increase. Vaginal delivery and pneumonia are 2 of the 10 most common diseases. Bed occupancy tends to decrease. Both inpatient and outpatient referral rates decreased. Keywords Disease patterns ICD1 inpatient. .
