Subjects and methods A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 53 patients receiving a high-dose methotrexate-containing regimen at the Department of Hematopoietic Internal Medicine K Hospital from May 2019 to October 2020. Results Average age of patients The male female ratio is the majority of patients admitted to hospital because of lymphadenopathy followed by headache paralysis Most of the patients PS 1 Syndrome B occurs in of cases. The highest proportion of patients with CNS infiltration prophylaxis was 55 . The rate of side effects was of which the rate of side effects increased liver enzymes the highest rate of the patients most of the patients had transient elevation of liver enzymes grade 1 and quick recovery the rate of acute renal failure after transfusion was of which there was only 1 patient with grade 2 renal failure the rate of gastrointestinal toxicity accounted for There was only 1 patient with grade 3 leukopenia accounting for . Conclusion This study investigates some side effects of non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients treated with high dose methotrexate thereby helping nurses to plan care and manage some unwanted effects towards improving quality care for patients.
