An Investigation was carried out on enzymes activity during composting of urban waste with microbial consortium and activators (cow dung slurry, diary spent wash, biodigester liquid and bovine urine). Significant variation in dehydrogenase, phosphatase and urease activity was noticed among the treatments at all the intervals during composting of urban waste with activators. Dehydrogenase activity was increased at 30th day of composting and decreased at 60th day thereafter, it gradually increased at 120th day of composting. |
