Investigation on the chemical constituents of methanol extract from roots of Morinda officinalis How. (Rubiaceae) has resulted in the isolation of three anthraquinones: anthragallol 2-methyl ether (1), physcion (2), and emodin (3). Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods.
