Bovine herpesvirus-1 (BoHV-1) mainly causes two forms of diseases in cattle and buffalo that is Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) and Infectious pustular vulvovaginitis (IPV). These infections occur worldwide however, in India first time reported in 1976.Since than several studies have been conducted in different part of the country to know the seroprevalence.
