Discuss the complexity of the relationship between childhood temperament and later personality development and other developmental outcomes. www.downloadslide.com Description of two 2-year-olds Sebastian Sebastian is the only child of two upper-middle-class parents in their early 40s. His mother works part time and he goes to a private nursery three days a week. Regularly he cannot settle in bed until past 9 pm, and his parents sometimes allow him in their bed when he is particularly unsettled. He is generally pleasant in nursery, though he can be impatient and easily distracted. He does not like group activities and sharing, and sometimes he ‘throws a strop’ if he does not get his own way when playing with others. He eats most of his given food at meal times; however, he demands his snacks regularly and may get restless if he does not get any. Luke Luke is the second-youngest child among six siblings; he has a 16-year-old brother, the oldest among the six, three older sisters and a younger sister. His parents recently separated and all the children are living with their mother, who does not work, in a three-bedroom house. Luke has regular temper tantrums and is said by his mother and older siblings to
