The current system was established by a cooperative county-wide mutual aid agreement that has deferred its hazardous materials response to Sierra Vista Fire Department Fry Fire District and Douglas Fire Department. The county goal is to equip three primary hazardous materials technician level response units throughout the county and integrate all responders in order to respond to any incident in southern Arizona. Training is currently being given to all 55 technicians with the existing equipment three times per year. All of the current equipment is located so any technician from any of the participating agencies can work off of any of the units at any time. The remaining equipment needed is for the response unit for Douglas Fire Department. 310 000 Somerton-Cocopah Fire Department SHSP 2004 Hazardous Material detection equipment Provide personal protective equipment and detection equipment in order establish and enhance a regional response team and provide a method for identifying what mitigation methods will be necessary. 15 300 Southern Arizona Regional Citizen Corps Council CCP 2005 The Arizona Citizen Corps Council awarded monies to the Southern Arizona Regional Citizen Corps Council for its best practices. The award is to serve as an incentive for citizen corp programs across the State to continue to develop and enhance their program. 2 500 Tohono O odham Nation LETPP 2005 Mobile command post enhancements Purchase updated computers two desktops and two laptops two large flat screen monitors for situation reports and information sharing satellite link-up capabilities
