A naturally occurring serum hemagglutinin was detected in the sand lobster, Thenus orientalis. The serum hemagglutinating activity was highest with buffalo erythrocytes. Preliminary characterization of the serum hemagglutinating activity showed that the activity was independent of calcium ions. |
