Termite mound is a rich source of nutrients and applied as a fertilizer, thus improving the productivity of soil. The role of termites in increasing the productivity of forest soils depends mainly on the micro flora presents in the gut of termites. The result of the present study revealed that the bacterial population in termite soil ranged from 68.4 – 138.2 X 106 cfu/g sample dry weight. | Microbial diversity and fungal symbiont of termite ecosystem
