This study presents a design of digital multi-channel analyzer (DMCA) based on field programmable gate array (FPGA), which could be integrated into the real-time radiation monitoring system. The algorithms of pulse shaping filter, detecting peaks and spectrum histogram processing are optimized and performed through the digital signal processing method (DSP) using FPGA resource, leading to cost-effective hardware. | A cost effective quasi zero dead time digital multi channel analyzer
