Optical packet header processing using novel pulse position modulation

In this paper, we present the solution all-optical packet header processing using novel pulse position modulation (NPPM), which is able to improve the network performance. The numerical results show that NPPM-based header processing helps to reduce the header processing time, reduce the average optical Modulation power in comparison with conventional electronic header processing and conventional PPM-based header processing. | Optical packet header processing using novel pulse position modulation
