M. anatolicum is an endemic species to Turkey and the 2n = 27 triploid population for this species is recorded for the first time. Idiograms and karyotypes of the species were obtained by the use of Cameram software. Key words: Chromosome numbers, karyotypes, Muscari, Kahramanmaraş, Turkey 1. Introduction The genus Muscari (Asparagaceae) has a wide distribution in the Mediterranean basin as far as the Caucasus, temperate Europe, North Africa, and Southwest Asia (Speta, 1998; Jafari et al., 2008).
