Objectives: - By the end of the lesson: Ss can talk about the preparations for some festivals. - Listen and get information to fill in the gaps. II. Teaching aids: - book, chalk, tape, cassette. III. Teaching procedure: Teacher’s activities Contents Student’s activities 1, Warm up(5’). * Find things in common - Ask students to think of 5 things they often prepare for Tet and write them down on a piece of paper. - Ask Ss to answer. - Introduce the lesson 2. Presentence 10’ - elicit new words from Ss - read words first. - get Ss to read the words again chorally – individually + Pre-speaking 10’ - T introduces about the dialogue. - Guides Ss how to do - Aks Ss to do exercise 1 page 123. - Corrects mistakes. - Asks some pairs to read the dialogue before class. + While-speaking 15’ - T guides Ss to choose a favorite festival (Ex: a school festival) - T gives some cues and guides Ss to make a dialogue. - Ask Ss to work in pairs (3’) (Make similar dialogues) - Ask Some pairs to practice before class. - Give dialogue model. - Corrects mistakes + Post-speaking. 3’ - Ask Some good Ss to make new dialogues.
