Treating comorbid depression could increase adherence to interventions for chronic medical illness Comorbid depression is the existence of a depressive disorder (. major depression, dysthymia or adjustment disorder) along with a physical disease (infectious, cardiovascular diseases, neurological disorders, diabetes mellitus or cancer).
