A properly completed schedule provides an agency with the legal authority to dispose of records entrusted to its care. Disposition may include sending appropriate records to an archival facility, recycling unneeded records, and/or destroying unneeded confidential records. Remember, in the event of litigation the court will want to know what the agency does in the normal course of doing business.
