tailieunhanh - Induced ovulation and egg deposition in the direct developing anuran Eleutherodactylus coqui

For purposes of deriving/identifying categories, references having to do with courtship, sex, pair-bonding, parenting, fidelity, mate guarding, and provisioning were initially targeted, along with themes related to long-term as well as short-term mating strategies. In the process of attempting to code the lyrics it became apparent that emotional expressions could be partitioned into different action references. For instance, “love” could either convey commitment, fidelity assurance, or a non-specific state. “Love” represents commitment when sung as “I love you.” It represents fidelity assurance when coined as “Do you love me?” And it is rendered non-specific when used in phrases like. | Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology BioMed Central Research Open Access Induced ovulation and egg deposition in the direct developing anuran Eleutherodactylus coqui Scott F Michael 1 Christine Buckley 2 Esteban Toro3 Alberto R Estrada4 and Shawn Vincent2 Address Department of Tropical Medicine Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana USA 2Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana USA 3Departamento de Ciencias Biológicas Universidad de los Andes Bogotá Colombia and 4Department of Science Technology and Health Universidad Metropolitana San Juan Puerto Rico Email Scott F Michael - smichael@ Christine Buckley - cbuckley@ Esteban Toro - estetoro@ Alberto R Estrada - albertore@ Shawn Vincent - svincent@ Corresponding author Published 28 January 2004 Received I7 December 2003 Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology 2004 2 6 This article is available from http content 2ZIZ6 Accepted 28 January 2004 2004 Michael et al licensee BioMed Central Ltd. Abstract This study investigates ovulation and egg deposition behaviors in the anuran Eleutherodactylus coqui from Puerto Rico in response to stimulation with gonadotropin and gonadotropin releasing hormones. Five hormones were tested by injection over a range of doses including mammalian LHRH avian LHRH fish LHRH D-Ala6 des-Gly10 ethylamide LHRH and hCG. We report a low level of ovulation and egg deposition in response to all hormones with the most complete and consistent results from the non-natural D-Ala6 des-Gly10 ethylamide LHRH derivative. To confirm the viability of eggs produced in this manner we performed in vitro fertilization experiments that resulted in the development of normal frogs. Reproductive behaviors in E. .
