Virtually all comprehensive sexuality education programs promote abstinence from sexual activity as part of the curriculum, and try to teach young people how to resist pressure for unwanted sex. OVERVIEW The purpose of the Cultural Competency Tool Kit is to provide resources and exemplars and to facilitate implementation of cultural competencies in baccalaureate nursing education. The Tool Kit identifies significant content teaching-learning activities and resources that will help faculty integrate cultural competency in nursing curriculum. The contents in this tool kit are not necessarily the only information to consider as there are many references organizations and links related to cultural competency. Key Competencies These five competencies identify the key elements considered essential for baccalaureate nursing graduates to provide culturally competent care. These competencies serve as a framework for integrating suggested content and learning experiences into existing curricula.
