Health Benefits The health benefits of our plan include 1 200 fewer Canadians who die each year because of health problems linked to air pollution fewer Canadians suffering from respiratory diseases . 920 fewer cases of chronic bronchitis and 170 000 fewer asthma person days 5 600 fewer cases of child acute bronchitis less cardiovascular disease . fewer heart attacks and strokes 1 260 fewer hospital admissions and emergency room visits The estimated benefits as of 2015 from the reduced risk of death and illness .
