Seeds were soaked in spermine 25 mg l or GA4 7 50 mg l before warm or cold stratification. Results We observed that changes in the level of polyamine in A. platanoides seeds were similar to the metabolism of proteins at the end of dormancy breaking and during germination Szczotka and Tomaszewska 1979 Korcz eta . 1985 Fig. 1 . Materials and Methods Experiments were conducted on A. plata-noides and F. excelsior seeds collected in the Kornik Arboretum. Conditions of storage stratification and biochemical analysis were as reported in Szczotka 1984a b .
