To see what network settings you currently use follow these steps 1. Choose Start11 Control Panel11Network Connections. A window shows your different network connections. 2. Double-click the connection used for your network. You should see a Status dialog box at the bottom is a Properties button. 3. Click the Properties button. The Properties dialog box shows different clients services and protocols used by this particular network connection. Quite a few could be listed in the center of the dialog box. You re interested in the Internet Protocol TCP IP option. 4. Select the Internet Protocol TCP IP option and click the Properties button. You see a Properties dialog box for the protocol as shown in Figure 16-2.
