Estrogen therapy: Using estrogen to treat symptoms of change of life is known as estrogen therapy or menopausal hormone therapy. Estrogen treatment can reduce hot flashes, improve vaginal dryness, and help prevent the weakening of the bones (osteoporosis) that can happen with menopause.
