THEME AND SCOPE The cost of healthcare has been skyrocketing over the past decades. This is mainly due to the rapid growth of aging population. On the other hand the technologies for healthcare have run an impressive evolution in signal image processing computers and network communications and have facilitated the development of effective signal image processing techniques in consumer electronics.
