The following guidance is based on the best available evidence. The full guideline () gives details of the methods and the evidence used to develop the guidance. This guideline was developed to provide an integrated approach to the identification and assessment of common mental health disorders, particularly in primary care. It draws together the recommendations from existing NICE guidance and addresses any gaps in the identification and assessment of these conditions. The guideline also provides advice for primary care and other staff on referral. Finally it sets out guidance for the development of effective local care pathways for people with. | TOWARD RECOVERY WELL-BEING A Framework for a Mental Health Strategy for Canada Artworks presented in this document were created by artists living with mental health problems or illnesses. They received the support from the Art Studios Vancouver Community Mental Health Services and from the Vincent et moi Institut universitaire de santé mentale de Québec programs. Art Studios The Art Studios is a rehabilitation and recovery unit program within Vancouver Community Mental Health Services. Started as a single pottery group in 1992 the Art studios has evolved into a full time program through partnership between consumers and rehabilitation staff which offers classes in a variety of media and serves individuals with mental illness in the Vancouver region. The program provides opportunities for the development and maintenance of artistic skills and abilities as well as social interaction. Vincent et moi Established in May 2001 at the Institut universitaire en santé mentale de Québec Vincent et moi is an innovative support program for artists living with mental illnesses. The artistic value of the works of art is of primary importance in this program. The artwork is created by people who moving beyond their illness engage in a creative process like any other artist.
