Adventure Works operates through 372 regional sales offices and employs 12 000 employees worldwide. The enterprise operates through four operational divisions Manufacturing Sales Human Resources and Purchasing. Considering the voluminous information that is maintained and shared by all the departments the management decided to maintain a common database at Bothell. Peter Greb the IT Consultant for Adventure Works decided to implement SQL Server 2005 to maintain this database. A team of database analysts studied the information that each department at Adventure Works uses and created a design for the database named AdventureWorks. The database design contains five schemas Sales Production HumanResources Person and Purchase. Each schema contains database objects for a specific operational division. The following table lists the schemas and the operational division to which each schema belongs.
