tailieunhanh - Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health Programmes in Bangladesh

In summary, recent evidence shows that the prevalence of mental health problems in the perinatal period in LMICs is higher than in HICs, and is more likely to be persistent. There have been no specific studies about the treatment coverage of these conditions in LMICs, but from what is known about the identification and treatment of mental disorders in general in these countries, it can be reasonably expected that perinatal mental health problems are both under-identified and under-treated. Thus, this leaves these women (and their infants) exposed to a range of negative consequences that will be discussed later. . | Maternal Neonatal and Child Health Programmes in Bangladesh Review of good practices and lessons learned Hashima-e-Nasreen Senior Research Fellow Research and Evaluation Division BRAC Syed Masud Ahmed Research Coordinator Research and Evaluation Division BRAC Housne Ara Begum Assistant Professor Institute of Health Economics University of Dhaka Kaosar Afsana Associate Director Maternal Neonatal and Child Health Programme BRAC Health Programme BRAC July 2007 Reprint - April 2010 Research Monograph Series No. 32 Research and Evaluation Division BRAC 75 Mohakhali Dhaka 1212 Bangladesh Telephone 88-02 9881265 8824180 PABX Fax 88-02 8823542 E-mail research@ Website Copyright 2010 BRAC First edition July 2007 Reprint April 2010 Cover design Sajedur Rahman Printing and publication Altamas Pasha Design and Layout Md.
