Requirements Hours after the Sept 11th 2001 terrorist attacks AT T announced that it would donate 10 million in prepaid calling cards to relief agencies and family crisis centers in New York Washington and Pennsylvania. Issuing these phone cards called for expansion of the AT T network including the addition of 98 NEC RC48 MUX units at the Denver Main central office in Colorado. The units would also need to be commissioned and integrated into the network within 10 short days due to the critical nature of the project. ADC Solution ADC has been providing product and services solutions to AT T in the United States for many years. ADC s Systems Integration team in Colorado was asked to perform the installation wiring commissioning and integration of the equipment being deployed to accommodate the thousands of phone cards issued. This was a project of massive proportions with over 2 700 circuits being added to the AT T network. The ADC team worked around the clock 24 7 in order to turn up the circuits according to AT T s commitment to victims and their families. The end result was a project completed 2 days ahead of schedule and meeting all of AT T s specific quality standards.
