Choose File Output Settings - Saving Files from the main menu. The Output Settings window opens with the Saving Files options presented. You can choose how your filenames will look from this screen. I like very simple names so I select just the slice name plus the rollover state. Each field offers a drop-down selection of values. Select none in any field that you want to exclude. Do not click OK yet . 2. In the lower portion of the window you can specify a folder where ImageReady will place your slices. If the folder you specify in the Put Images in Folder field does not exist ImageReady will create it for you. In this example I specified that the images should be saved in a folder named menu. NOTE Although creating a folder for menu images adds extra steps to the image path the separation from your other files can really help to organize your work especially if you have several states for each rollover. 3. Uncheck the Copy Background Image When Saving option. If you have specified copyright information through File - Info in either ImageReady or Photoshop and have the Include Copyright option selected each image will be saved with copyright information embedded . 4. Click OK to save these settings. You re now ready to save your flies. 5. With the Slice Select tool active Shift click all slices you want to save. 6. Choose File - Save Optimized As from the main menu. The Save Optimized As window opens. 7. Navigate to the folder where you would like to save your files. WARNING Remember that ImageReady will place your files in a folder in this directory if you specified that setting in the Output Settings window. A common error is to navigate all the way to the folder created for the rollover files. ImageReady creates a new folder within that folder. In my case 1 would end up with a menu menu path for my images. 8. In the lower part of the screen select Images .
