Benth. in Revised 15 8 2023 Vietnam was analyzed and their biological activities were evaluated. Published 18 8 2023 The essential oils were obtained through hydro-distillation of G. sleumeri leaves and subsequently analyzed using gas KEYWORDS chromatography-mass spectrometry GC-MS . The results revealed that the essential oil primarily consisted of two constituents methyl Antimicrobial activity salicylate and eugenol . To assess the antimicrobial Bach Chau Da Lat activity of the essential oil the agar well diffusion method was Da Lat employed. The results demonstrated that the essential oil exhibited significant activity against two bacterial strains comprising Essential oil Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus and a pathogenic yeast Gaultheria sleumeri Candida albicans at the different concentrations of essential oils. This study provided valuable insights into the chemical composition and biological activities of essential oils derived from G. sleumeri leaves in Vietnam.
