Research subjects and methods A cross-sectional study was conducted surveying 21 departments at Son Tay General Hospital. The evaluation focused on the classification and treatment of hazardous waste based on Circular 20 2021 TT-BYT issued on November 26 2021 regarding the management of medical waste. Results 100 of faculties perform medical solid waste classification have enough medical solid waste containers and collect transport store and treat medical solid waste at a high rate. 95 of waste is transported to the proper concentration place in the faculties and has a daily waste monitoring book accounting for only . Conclusion Most of the medical solid waste management WWTP of Son Tay General Hospital has fulfilled the criteria specified in Circular 20 2021 TT-BYT. However some shortcomings still need to be overcome such as the fact that the waste has not been transported to the concentrated place by regulations and the faculties do not have a daily waste monitoring book.
