| TAP CHI SINH HOC 2019 41 2se1 amp 2se2 23 31 DOI 0866-7160 v41n2se amp DIVERSITY ASSESSMENT OF Anisoptera costata Korth. Dipterocarpaceae is restricted to lowland rainforests in southeastern Vietnam. For conservation of this species its genetic diversity was investigated based on nine microsatellites single sequence repeat SSR . In total forty-eight A. costata individuals in southeastern rainforest were analyzed. Polymorphism was found in all nine loci with a total of 23 alelles observed. The polymorphic information content PIC was in average indicating a low polymorphic value. Other measured values include discrimination power PD 0 43 resolving power Rp and Marker index MI were revealed. The SSR data of A. costata Korth. in southeast rainforest of Vietnam indicated a low genetic diversity NA Ho and He with positive inbreeding value FIS . This study also showed the importance of conserving the genetic resources of A. costata in southeastern rainforests. The threatened status of A. costata was related to a lack of genetic diversity. All existing populations remained in isolated small forest patches. An ex-situ conservation site shoukd be established with new big populations for this species from all genetic groups to improve the fitness of the species under different environmental stresses.
