tailieunhanh - Remark on mechanism of arsenic removal from water using metal (HYDR) oxide nanoparticles

The study discussed the inner-sphere complexation between arsenic species and active surface metal (hydr)oxide NPs, which is attributed to the high selectivity toward arsenic species over other common ions (such as sulfate and chloride). In addition, the As(III) removal involving an oxidation process using oxidant oxides such as manganese oxide, zero valent iron and titanium oxide for enhancing adsorption performance was provided. This paper provides the readers to deeply understand the role of metal (hydr)oxide NPs on the arsenic removal and to take up further research required for arsenic removal using metal (hydr)oxide adsorbents. |
