We reported 2 clinical cases of internal mammary artery injury following blunt chest trauma. General features of both cases are sternal body fracture, subcutaneous emphysema, severe hemothorax and severe hemorrhagic shock. All patients were diagnosed and treated promptly. After surgery with pleural drainage, excellent outcomes and stable status were seen in both patients at the time of discharge. |
