tailieunhanh - Screening and identification of microorganisms for enhanced bioethanol production from pond reeds

Phragmites australis, common pond reed with high lignocelluloses content is suitable for bioethanol production. In the present study pretreated pond reed was first fermented to sugars using cellulose and xylan degrading microorganisms isolated from cow dung and organic kitchen waste. Further fermentation of sugars to ethanol was performed using combinations of Sachharomyces cerevisae, Trichoderma reesei and Pichia stipitis. |
