This work proposes to assess the microbiological and physico-chemical characteristics and to quantify the heavy metals of the biosolids produced by the sewage treatment plant - STE, of the city of Toledo - State of Paraná - Brazil. The conclusion of this analysis is that the sewage sludge produced by the city's Sewage Treatment Plant can be categorized as a Type A sludge because it has low rates of total and thermotolerant coliforms. The physicochemical characteristics of the dry sludge and the levels of heavy metals found proved to be an excellent indicator for the use of this material in agricultural activities. | Physico-chemical and microbiological properties of the sewage sludge produced by the sewage treatment plant STP of Toledo - Paraná - Brazil
