tailieunhanh - Effect of ultra-dry storage of chilli seeds

The storage experiment was conducted to know the effect of ultra-dry seed storage of chilli. The experiment was conducted during the period from July, 2017 to March, experiment involved storage of chilli seeds with three desiccants viz., zeolite beads, bentonite granules and activated charcoal granules. The experiment was laid out in completely randomized design with four treatments in five replications. Among the four different desiccants, zeolite beads recorded highest germination ( %), seedling vigour index (1097), dehydrogenase activity ( OD values) and maintained the lowest moisture content ( %), electrical conductivity ( dSm-1 ), Whereas, the seeds stored in without desiccants deteriorated rapidly in all the seed quality parameters and recorded the lowest germination ( %), seedling vigour index (753), dehydrogenase activity ( OD values) and higher moisture content ( %), electrical conductivity ( dSm-1 ) at the end of nine months of storage period. | Effect of ultra-dry storage of chilli seeds
