Rice is an important food crop in India. One of the major constraints of rice production is that it is prone to several diseases. Among them brown leaf spot disease has been reported to occur in all rice growing regions. A study was conducted to determine the performance of fifty paddy varieties against the disease at college of agriculture, . Farm, Mandya, during kharif 2015. The per cent disease severity was recorded at 30, 60 and 90 days after transplanting (DAT).
