Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) is one of the most important vegetable crops of the family Solanaceae. Survey for prevalence and severity of late blight of tomato was conducted in three vegetable growing districts of Kashmir valley viz. Anantnag, Baramulla and Budgam. Maximum disease incidence (), intensity () and infected fruits () were observed in district Anantnag, followed by district Budgam with disease incidence, disease intensity and infected fruits and the least disease incidence (), disease intensity () and infected fruits () were recorded in district Baramulla during the first stage of survey. | Severity of tomato late blight caused by Phytophthora infestans Mont. de bary in Kashmir
