tailieunhanh - Coconut nut rot disease in India: Prevalence, characterization of pathogen and standardization of inoculation techniques

Coconut nut rot disease is one of the major economic constraints which hampers coconut production in India. An extensive disease survey was conducted during July 2015 - September 2016 to assess the nut rot incidence in major coconut growing tracts of Tamil Nadu. The young palms of 5-10 years were found to be more susceptible to nut rot than matured palms. A fungal pathogen was found to be consistently associated with nut rot disease and identified as Lasiodiplodia theobromae based on morphological characters. | Coconut nut rot disease in India Prevalence characterization of pathogen and standardization of inoculation techniques
