tailieunhanh - Post harvest life of gladiolus spikes as influenced by preharvest application of GA3, Carbendazim and Mancozeb

The present investigation was conducted at Horticulture Research Farm, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, whereas all the postharvest parameters were carried out in Postharvest Laboratory of Department of Horticulture, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi during the year 2017-18. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with twelve treatments ., control, GA3 50 ppm, GA3 100 ppm, carbendazim %, mancozeb %, carbendazim % + mancozeb %, GA3 50 ppm + carbendazim %, GA3 50 ppm + mancozeb %, GA3 50 ppm + carbendazim % + mancozeb %, GA3 100 ppm + carbendazim %, GA3 100 ppm + mancozeb %, GA3 100 ppm + carbendazim % + mancozeb % and three replications. Results revealed that maximum length of spike after 6th and 9th days in vase was registered with pre-soaking treatment of cut corms in GA3 50 ppm ( cm and cm). Whereas, maximum weight of spike was found with pre-soaking treatment of GA3 100 ppm + carbendazim % + mancozeb % and carbendazim % + mancozeb % treatments after 6th ( g) and 9th day ( g) of observation in vase solution, respectively. A significant effect was found with diameter of 1st, 3rd and 5th florets in vase due to various concentrations of GA3, carbendazim % and mancozeb % as pre-soaking treatment. Maximum water uptake by gladiolus spikes resulted with GA3 100 ppm + carbendazim % + mancozeb % after 3 days ( ml) and with GA3 100 ppm + carbendazim % after 9 days ( ml) in vase solution. However, prolonged vase life of spikes was registered with pre-soaking treatment of carbendazim % + mancozeb % ( days). | Post harvest life of gladiolus spikes as influenced by preharvest application of GA3, Carbendazim and Mancozeb
