Land use is characterized by the arrangements, activities and inputs that people undertake in a certain land cover type to produce change. It affects soil properties, overall soil health and the distribution supply of soil nutrients by directly altering biological transformations in the rooting zone. The present study “Assessment of soil microbial status under different land use systems in North western zone of Kashmir” was carried out to ascertain the biological properties of soils under five land use systems, viz., Forestry, Horticulture, Agriculture, Agri-Horti, Pasture at different locations viz., Gulmarg, Pattan, Ruhama, Baramulla, Sopore. | Assessment of soil microbial status under different land use systems in north western zone of Kashmir
