The present study was conducted in Hisar district of Haryana state covering 200 respondents from two localities viz., rural and urban. Results shows majority of respondents had possession of Cable TV, followed by television and newspaper and had high mass media exposure. A recent survey found that 112 million households in India own a television, with 61 percent of those homes having cable or satellite service (National Readership Studies Council, 2006). In China, television exposure grew from 18 million people in 1977 to 1 billion by 1995 (Thomas, 2003). In more recent years, satellite and cable television availability had increased dramatically. Majority of respondents had high utilization of localite sources and low utilization of cosmopolite sources.
