tailieunhanh - Effect of different plant growth regulators on shooting of stem cuttings in dragon fruit [Hylocereus undatus (Haworth) Britton & Rose]

An investigation was done to study the effect of different plant growth regulators on shooting of stem cuttings in Dragon fruit (Hylocereus undatus (Haworth) Britton & Rose) at the Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, UAHS Shivamogga, during the year 2017-18. The experiment was laid out by following Complete Randomized Block Design with twelve treatments and three replications. The stem cuttings of Dragon fruit treated with different plant growth regulators result reveals that, least number of days taken for sprout initiation (), maximum percentage of sprouting at 30 and 60 DAP ( and %), number of sprouts per cutting at 30,60 and 90 DAP (, and ), length of the sprout and shoot (, and cm), shoot diameter (, and cm), fresh weight of the shoot (, and g) dry weight of shoot (, and g), root to shoot ratio (, and ) respectively was recorded in cuttings treated with IBA 7000 ppm. Among the different growth regulators application of IBA 7000 ppm was found to improve shooting of stem cuttings in Dragon fruit under low cost poly house condition. | Effect of different plant growth regulators on shooting of stem cuttings in dragon fruit [Hylocereus undatus (Haworth) Britton & Rose]
