tailieunhanh - Impact of plant growth regulators on fruit production

Plant hormones are signal molecules produced within the plant, and occur in extremely low concentrations. Phytohormones determine the formation of flowers, stems, leaves, shedding of leaves, and development and ripening of fruits. They shape the plant, affecting seed growth, time of flowering, sex of flowers, senescence of leaves and fruits. Hormones are vital for plant growth and lacking them, plants would be mostly a mass of undifferentiated cells. Plant growth regulators include auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, ethylene, growth retardants and growth inhibitors. The production of poor quality fruits is a matter of common experience. It would be therefore worthwhile to improve the yield and quality of fruit crops by foliar application of plant growth regulators. The use of growth regulators has become an important component of agro-technical procedures for most of the cultivated plants and especially for fruit plants. In this review, we focus on the role of plant growth regulators on fruit production. | 2019 8 2 800-814 EXCELLENT PUBLISHERS International Journal of Current Microbiology and Applied Sciences ISSN 2319-7706 Volume 8 Number 02 2019 Journal homepage http Review Article https Impact of Plant Growth Regulators on Fruit Production Karishma Sebastian1 . Introduction Phytohormones are organic substances produced naturally in higher plants controlling growth or other physiological functions at a site remote from its place of production and active in minute amounts. But plant growth regulators includes naturally occurring .
