tailieunhanh - Effect of cytoplasm on seed yield and attributing traits in sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)

The effect of cytoplasm on hybrid mean performance for seed yield and its contributing traits was investigated by evaluating 50 hybrids (25 A×R and their corresponding 25 B×R hybrids) and 10 parents (five CMS A lines and corresponding maintainer lines) along with standard check hybrid DRSH-1. These isonuclear alloplasmic hybrids were observed for quantitative traits viz., days to 50 per cent flowering, head diameter, stem diameter, plant height, 100 seed weight, volume weight, days to maturity, hull content, seed yield plant1 and oil content. Significant variation was observed within the A×R and B×R group of hybrids for all the traits. | Effect of cytoplasm on seed yield and attributing traits in sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)
