In EFL classrooms, teachers tend to adopt a variety of techniques to enhance students’ motivation and hence their achievement. One of them is positive oral feedback. The aim of this paper is to examine the use of positive oral feedback in EFL classrooms by English teachers at some upper secondary schools in Thua Thien Hue Province. The instruments used for collecting the data include the questionnaire, interviews and class observations, and there were fifty EFL upper secondary school teachers who participated in the research. The findings showed that high school English teachers had positive perceptions towards positive oral feedback.
