The chromosome numbers of 16 of the 19 endemic taxa of Northern Cyprus were investigated, 15 of which are new records. Diploid chromosome numbers of the taxa investigated varied between 2n = 12 and 2n = 30. One species, Scutellaria sibthorpii (Benth.) Hal., was both diploid (2n = 14) and tetraploid (2n = 28), and Sideritis cypria Post, 2n = 30, was either diploid or triploid. | Chromosome numbers of 16 endemic plant taxa from Northern Cyprus
