Elle répond à un besoin réel de la société, celui de former le personnel francophone pour le domaine du tourisme, dans le contexte où le français est en déclin au Vietnam. Ses débuts ont été confrontés à plusieurs difficultés, dont le problème du personnel pour son programme de formation. L’auteur de l’article propose un regard rétrospectif sur son chemin parcouru depuis 2008 jusqu’à présent et en envisage des perspectives de développement. ABSTRACT Tourism section of French Department: Retrospectives and reflections Tourism is a brand new section created by the French faculty of HCMC University of Education in order to bring a response to the social demand. It consists of forming a French-speaking personnel in a situation when a clear decline of French language has been witnessed.
