Four sowing dates (midOctober, early November, mid-November and early December) and 5 intrarow spacings (5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm and 25 cm) were applied. Dinçer-118 was used as the safflower cultivar. Seed yield ( kg ha-1), oil content (), oil yield ( kg ha-1), shell rate () and 1000-seed weight ( g) were investigated and all parameters measured were significantly affected by the treatments. The results obtained showed that the most suitable sowing date and intrarow spacing for safflower on Harran Plain were November and 5 cm, respectively.
