Cooperative game theory oriented towards aiding the conflict resolution is considered and the compromise value for TU(transferable utility)-game is presented. The method VIKOR could be applied to determine compromise solution of a multicriteria decision making problem with noncommensurable and conflicting criteria. Compromise is considered as an intermediate state between conflicting objectives or criteria reached by mutual concession. The applicability of the cooperative game theory and the VIKOR method for conflict resolution is illustrated. Keywords: Multicriteria decision making, cooperative game, compromise, VIKOR method. 1. INTRODUCTION Conflict is often considered as disagreement, opposition, or struggle between two or more people or groups, and an antagonistic interaction in which one party attempts to thwart the intentions or goals of another, or process in which people disagree over significant issues, thereby creating friction between parties, or a situation when people oppose views trying to prevent each other from accomplishing goals [4]. Conflict exists when there is goals conflict, or goal is not within capabilities. In this paper, values and needs based conflict is considered, as a situation different than violence. Conflict over the management of a shared resource arises because of differing objectives among different interest groups.
